From tales of unlucky dogs being eaten, China has become a front runner in field of exotic cuisine.

In Beijing, Donghuamen night market and Wangfujing Dajie are the best place to find a great assortment. From sea horses to cicadas, everything has become fair game here. But, there's a reason for all this - each morsel is believed to have specific health benefits. So, in an effort to become a citizen of the world, here's the guide to the weird and wonderful world of Chinese street food in Beijing.

Any health benefits associated with eating these critters are the stuff of legends and cultural beliefs. there's no real scientific explanation, but worth an adventure.
